Among those known criminals who hid their identity's, there were the black tarantula,the infamous jheri james, and the enigmatic detroit red who outlasted them all. With some slick maneuvering red was able to find a loophole in the law and is legally allowed to keep his secret identity. The fed's believe red has taken his operation further underground, using his various enterprises, which include a controversial "meta-fighting" league, a chain of clothing stores, and a video arcade. There has long been a rumor of team of "super gangtsas" led by d-red and the exiled black cosmic hero known as the Meta-Men. Many believe this "Red Team" will be the catalyst for a takedown of detroit red...may the best masked man win.

Sophie grew up as a figure head to the harpo family, a mafia princess, but sophie's influence quickly became cult-ish which culminated in literal worship. The church where the harpos have been members for years even teaches that sophie is a messianic figure, this doubly convenient for the family who use the church as a front. the feds have been watching the harpos for years, but finally tried to make a move. Figuring Sophie was the inspirational linchpin for the notoriously elusive harpo family, the feds cooked up charges to take custody of sophie, hoping the seperation of mother and daughter could begin the toppling of the Harpo Dynasty. The plan failed, ever the strategist Doris Harpo lead a clever community campaign to regain custody of sophie.

Left Handed Sophie was featured on the cover of "Black Comix" a lovely coffee table book celebrating the achievement of great Black Comic Book Artists. 1st I would like to thank all the brilliant artists(my brothers and sisters)who are truly bringing a Black Comics Culture 2 life, this is truly a dream for all of us. 2nd I'd like 2 thank the wonderful brother John Jennings who sought out the (earthly)creator,artist and keeper of Left Handed Sophie...our very own Mr.Alphonzo(Phonzie)Davis Jr.!
